National mother neonate & Child health

Main objectives to celebrate Mother & Child Health Week are:-

  • Immunization of children 0 to 2 years of age
  • De-worming of children 2 to 5 years of age
  • T.T. Vaccination for all Pregnant Women
  • Advocacy through walks
  • Media Campaign
  • Seminar to create awareness
  • Health Education Sessions to promote significance of immunization, prevention of diarrhea in summer, Pneumonia in winter season and Covid-19
  • Practical demonstration of hand washing
  • 100% Coverage of population in LHWs covered area during MCW
  • For current year operational budget required to continue the planned activities
  • To cover 100% population 1578 LHWs are required. 1000 LHWs without monitoring / support staff and operational budget is proposed in Federal Nutrition Project, which needs to be reviewed or funds for recruitment of this staff be allocated in PSDP for AJK LHW Program
  • Preparation and finalization of under process PC-I requires urgent solution of this complexity
  • Efficient utilization of work force needs unity of command
  • Family planning & primary health care program have trained staff at RPIU & DPIUs level
