Establishment of Cardiac Hospital Muzaffarabad (Background)

• Honorable Prime Minister AJK, during inaugural ceremony of Isolation Hospital for Corona Virus treatment in Muzaffarabad on 4th April, 2020, announced the establishment of Cardiac Hospital in the same building after control of menace of Corona Virus
• In the light of directions of Honorable High Court and the announcement of honorable Prime Minister AJK a PC-I with a name of “Establishment of 50 bedded cardiac hospital in Muzaffarabad” costing Rs.305.396 Million was prepared by DGH office and presented before the P&DD forum
• Govt. of AJK accorded the approval of scheme Rs 150.00 million allocated for FY 2019-2020
• A committee was constituted on 09-06-2020 by AKDWP for evaluation of the scope of alteration of building comprising of special secretary health, DG CDO and Chief PPH in P&DD. (report in Dec 2020)
• Hiring of HR and work regarding to functionalize the Cardiac Hospital Muzaffarabad is in process

Installation of oxygen generation plants at AIMS Hospital Muzaffarabad & CMH Rawalakot

• Oxygen Generation Plants are installed and functional Oxygen is supplied and refilled through oxygen Generation plant at AIMS Hospital Muzaffarabad and CMH Rawalakot (Capacity 280 liter/minute each) provided by NDMA
